Vuzix up 6% in pre-market following Smart Glasses certification

Vuzix and Avegant announced at CES 2026 a jointly developed binocular smart glasses reference design that they say "sets a new benchmark for affordability, performance, and wearability in next-generation AR eyewear." The reference design integrates Avegant's AG-30L3 with Vuzix's waveguide optics.

Himax (HIMX) and Vuzix (VUZI) announced a new optical reference design for AR glasses. The design combines Himax's HX7319FL color sequential Front-lit LCoS microdisplay with Vuzix' waveguide technology to enable lightweight AR glasses that support prescription lenses, while achieving manufacturing readiness across both the optical module and mechanical design.
