FreightCar America announced that it has completed the acquisition of Carly Railcar Components, a family-owned, leading distributor of railcar components. The acquisition strengthens FreightCar America's aftermarket distribution business with a focus on running-repair components. Through the acquisition, the Company's customers will benefit from reduced lead times and a larger catalog of ready-to-ship railcar components.

Sees FY25 adjusted EBITDA $43M-$49M

Reports Q3 revenue $160.5M, consensus $157.15M. FreightCar America announced that its board of directors has adopted a limited duration stockholder rights plan to protect the best interests of all FreightCar America, Inc. stockholders. The rights plan is effective immediately and will expire on August 5, unless terminated earlier by the board. The plan is intended to enable all stockholders to realize the long-term value of their investment and protect against any potential efforts to obtain control of the company that are inconsistent with the best interests of its stockholders.
