On February 5, the company's Board of Directors declared an annual cash dividend in the total amount of $1.40 per share, with 70c per share payable on February 27 to stockholders of record as of February 17, and 70c per share payable on August 31 to stockholders of record as of August 17. This represents an 11.1% increase over last year's $1.26 per share dividend, which was paid in two 63c per share installments. The decision by the Board of Directors to increase the annual dividend by 11.1% reflects the Board's confidence in PriceSmart and the strength of its cash generating activities.

PriceSmart stated on its Q1 earnings call that its comparable net merchandise sales for the nine week period ended December 28 2025 grew 7.1% in U.S. dollars and 5.4% in constant currency. Executives added on the call: "This represents solid performance as we continue to comp against increasingly strong prior year periods, though it does reflect a deceleration from our first quarter's growth rate. December specifically was impacted by several transitory factors. Government elections in Honduras created consumer uncertainty. Panama's extended rainy season disrupted both traffic and logistics, and supply chain timing issues created out of stocks and several high volume food items, a situation we identified and are addressing. Looking forward, we are encouraged by what we are seeing."

The company has purchased land and plans to open its tenth warehouse club in Costa Rica, located in Ciudad Quesada, approximately 47 miles northwest from the nearest club in the capital of San Jose. The club will be built on a six-acre property and is anticipated to open in the fall of 2026. Once this club and three other previously announced clubs are open, the company will operate 60 warehouse clubs.

Reports Q1 revenue $1.38B vs. $1.26B last year. For the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, net merchandise sales increased 10.6% to $1.35B from $1.22B in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025. Net merchandise sales - constant currency increased 9.5% over the comparable prior-year period. Foreign currency exchange rate fluctuations impacted net merchandise sales positively by $13.8M, or 1.1%, versus the same period in the prior year. The company had 56 warehouse clubs in operation as of November 30, 2025 compared to 54 warehouse clubs in operation as of November 30, 2024.
