Momentus announced that the company has delivered its Vigoride Orbital Service Vehicle to Vandenberg Space Force Base in California ahead of its launch on SpaceX's upcoming Transporter-16 rideshare mission, targeted for no earlier than late March. The Vigoride OSV has been integrated with a launch plate that will be carried on the Falcon 9 launch vehicle. The priorities of this mission include hosting 10 payloads with a suite of demonstrations, including autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations, in-space assembly, advanced communications and next-generation onboard computing technologies. These activities are being conducted under contracts with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, U.S. Department of War organizations, and commercial customers and partners, including contracts valued at approximately $4.2M with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, an approximately $1.9M contract with SpaceWERX, the innovation arm of the U.S. Space Force, and contracts with NASA's Johnson Space Center and Armstrong Flight Research Center. All payloads will be operated through Momentus' control center in San Jose, California, with live mission support extended through remote operations hubs for selected demonstrations. With over 300 kg of payload capacity and on-board peak power up to 3 kW, the Vigoride Orbital Service Vehicle is positioned to support commercial and government use cases in LEO and beyond.

Momentus announced that it received payments totaling approximately $1.9M in January for contracts with NASA and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's SpaceWERX organization. Momentus plans to conduct an on-orbit demonstration of the low-cost RPO sensor suite and the CisLunar PPU and energy management system, along with several other payloads, on its Vigoride 7 Orbital Service Vehicle that is manifested to be launched on the Transporter 16 mission with SpaceX targeted to launch no earlier than March 2026.

Momentus has entered into a Space Act Agreement to deepen its collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA, through a mission set to advance in-orbit servicing and assembly capabilities. Under this initiative, Momentus will deliver a NASA CubeSat to low Earth orbit to demonstrate joint rendezvous and proximity operations as well as formation flying.
