The company provided an update on fourth quarter results. "We are still evaluating the full impact of the Saks Global bankruptcy; however, this could result in sales volatility and up to $0.06 risk to our fourth quarter earnings per diluted share guidance. Additionally, we may incur charges related to restructuring not previously anticipated in guidance. Excluding these potential impacts, our sales and earnings per diluted share outlook for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2025 are in-line with previous guidance provided in the company's press release issued on December 9, 2025."

Caleres announced that Dan Karpel, the company's senior vice president and chief accounting officer, has been appointed to the additional role of interim CFO, effective immediately. Karpel succeeds Jack Calandra, who is leaving Caleres at the end of the month to pursue other opportunities. His departure is not related to any disagreement with the company. The company has commenced an external search for a permanent successor. Karpel rejoined Caleres as chief accounting officer in October 2025 and brings over 30 years of valuable accounting and finance experience to the role of interim CFO. Most recently, he served as the CFO of Club Car Wash Operating.

Q3 adjusted EPS excluding Stuart Weitzman was 67c. Reports Q3 revenue $790.1M, consensus $768.59M. "Caleres delivered Q3 sales results that were ahead of our internal expectations, highlighted by organic sales growth in our Brand Portfolio segment, strong Lead Brands performance, sequential improvement in trends at Famous Footwear, and accelerated eCommerce momentum in both segments of our business," said CEO Jay Schmidt. "With the recent addition of Stuart Weitzman, our Brand Portfolio now drives nearly half our sales and more than half our operating earnings. As we expected, we experienced pressure on our earnings from tariffs and near-term acquisition dilution, however, the fundamentals of our business are improving. For the balance of the year, we will be working to transition the Stuart Weitzman business to Caleres systems and clean up aged and excess inventory as we hone our strategies for long-term growth and profitability of the brand. In FY26, we will begin to unlock synergistic cost savings," said Schmidt. "Through this integration process, we are sharpening our operating structure to better leverage our scale and strengthen our ability to build and grow powerful brands and consumer experiences. We are confident that executing our strategic plans will result in improved financial performance and drive long-term value for our shareholders."
