The Company’s lead product candidate, PALI-2108, is being developed as a treatment for patients living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis (UC) and Fibrostenotic Crohn’s disease (FSCD). The Company is conducting a Phase I human clinical trial of its lead product candidate, PALI-2108, for the treatment of UC. In UC mouse models, the Company has demonstrated the dose-dependent efficacy of PALI-2108. It utilizes dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-induced UC mouse models and targets engagement in oxazolone-induced colitis. PALI-2108 targets the key phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) in colon tissues and prevents it from breaking down cyclic Adenosine Monophosphate (cAMP) molecules which regulate inflammation in the body.
